For those who haven't heard, Ben Affleck locked down the role of Batman for the new 'Man Of Steel' movie featuring both superheros.  Affleck's name was tossed into the raffle of possible candidates to don the bat symbol, cape, and mask, along with the likes of Ryan Gosling and Josh Brolin.  However, when it was officially revealed by Warner Bros. on Thursday, August 22nd, that Ben got the part, many people weren't too happy with the news and expressed their feelings on Twitter.
Numerous celebrities have stepped forward to share their voice on the matter as well, with some showing support, while others are a bit shaky on the decision.  It seems as though people must have forgotten that Ben has displayed great acting skills in many films, including "Argo" and "The Town."  When Christian Bale was first announced as Batman, many weren't certain if he was the right choice either, but everything turned out great.
As a result of all of the tweets coming forth regarding the Batman casting, #BetterBatmanThanBenAffleck and #Batffleck have becoming trending topics on Twitter.

Drake has had some questionable moments in fashion history that have even led to memes being made about one outfit, and he wasn't catching any breaks on Instagram after posting a photo of a fur coat. The YMCMB rapper shared a photo on Thursday morning of him in a fur bomber jacket with the caption, "C Papi." Despite his believable swagger being projected in the photo, Instagram users weren't buying it. One user wrote, "Bane said he wants his jacket back," with another chiming in, "Yo love his music...but ain't that a woman's jacket? #Nevermind." Taco Bell Worker Fired After Shell-Licking Pic Goes Viral

 

A Taco Bell employee who thought it would be a fun idea to have his photo snapped while he licked a stack of taco shells was fired after the picture went viral on Facebook.
One Facebook user who posted the pic on Taco Bell's Facebook page received a response from the restaurant chain saying that they were taking swift action against those involved.
"This sure says a lot about your employees, food treatment, and what they post on the internet", wrote the user.
Taco Bell responded to the user, saying, "We have strict food handling procedures and zero tolerance for any violations. We believe this is a prank and the food was not served to customers. We are conducting an investigation and will be taking sweift action against those involved."
On Tuesday Taco Bell released a statement that the employee is being terminated.
"Our franchisee is responsible for the employment and conduct of his restaurant’s employees and he has informed us that he immediately suspended the employee shown in the photo and is in the process of terminating his employment. The employee who took the photo no longer works there. As we complete our investigation we will work with our franchisee to implement any additional action we find appropriate to address this situation and ensure it never happens again."

J. Cole Breaks Down Meaning Behind "Crooked Smile"

 

During a recent interview with fuse, J. Cole explained the meaning behind his song "Crooked Smile."
"The song is basically, keep your head up...I understand I don't have the Colgate [smile], I don't have the braces. When you become like, somewhat known, they definitely make it a point to remind you about your flaws."
Cole continued, explaining that the song's aim is to give "people power to embrace their own flaws."

New Billboard at NYC's High Line References Biggie

 

On Monday the High Line in New York City revealed a new billboard commission from the artist Raymond Pettibon. Pettibon converted his 2010 drawing "No Title (Safe he called...)" into a billboard-sized work that features Jackie Robinson on home plate.
On the left of the work appears the quote "Where Brooklyn At?"; an obvious salute to Brooklyn hip hop legend Notorious B.I.G. Below the scene appears "Moses: 'Out!" which is a pun on the baseball phrase as well as a reference to Robert Moses, the notorious former NYC chief of parks, roads, and public housing. Moses was responsible for the Dodgers relocating from Brooklyn to L.A., and if he'd had his way, a super-highway would cut through where Greenwich Village sits today.
The Highline is a unique park in NYC that sits atop an old elevated train track.

Bruce Jenner Claims Kanye West Is Not Around for the Family

 

Either Bruce Jenner is rapidly losing his memory, or he really doesn't like Kanye West. This weekend, he told Extra that he had only met Kim's rapper boyfriend once, which is simply unlikely. Kim is now pissed off at her 63-year-old stepdad for making it seem like Kanye doesn't care about the Kardashian family.
According to TMZ, Jenner was in Kanye's presence on at least four different occasions in the past year or so--Kourtney's baby shower in May 2012, a taping of "X-Factor" in November 2012, an L.A. Clippers game in December 2012, and the Kardashian family Christmas party.
Bruce Jenner was quoted telling Extra that Kanye is "not around." Jenner might just not like Yeezy, as back in April he said he was "not that excited" that Kim was dating him.
